Notepad++ has always been one of those tools that just worked. Lightweight. Fast. No unnecessary complexity. It opened instantly, handled massive files without complaining, and never tried to be more than it needed to be.

In a world where every tool is trying to become a platform, that simplicity is rare.

For years, Mac users had to settle for alternatives. Some good, some bloated, some over-engineered. Now, that gap is finally closing.

And frankly, it’s about time.
